The Gloves Are Off Budweiser

If you haven’t been living under a rock and have any connections to someone who loves craft beer than you’ve seen the Budweiser commercial during the Super Bowl last night. I was joined by close friends at Barreled Souls Brewing Company to watch the game while enjoying some home cooked chili (the mysterious crockpot #2 won BTW). The entire basement went crazy for the awesome

Angels With Filthy Souls

Bissell Brothers has always had a special place in my heart, my liver, and my taste buds. Beer drinkers from out of state whisper about Bissell’s hoppy delights. Their American-style hoppy beers have swept the Maine craft beer market by storm. I want to start off 2015 with a sort of beer review from Bissell Brothers. Bissell imagery is very simple. The triple B logo

Portland Beer Week 2014 Round Up Part 1

Everyone is still currently recovering from the craziness that was Portland Beer Week. A week of 60+ events involving beer tasting, scavenger hunts, arm wrestling competitions, tap takeovers, bottle releases, and much more. The week was a whirlwind of awesome people and beers that blew my mind. I have to applaud the ingenuity of the event planning that occurred this year. There were some events

Jumpin’ Jehosafats! Fresh Hops Season Is Here!

The sacred of all fall traditions in craft beer has arrived, fresh local wet/dry hopped beers! Until recently Maine has not had an abundance of access to fresh locally grown hops. Not until 3 years ago when the Hop Yard came into creation did Mainers expect locally grown hops in their beers. Hops were grown in New York, California, Washington, etc. and shipped to us
